Meet Professor Creepy

In another fun and largely speculative item, NYT’s Pam Belluck talks to Michael Shinagel, dean of the Harvard Extension School. Apparently the average age of HES students is getting younger, although HES doesn’t actually keep count, presumably because such crass numbercrunching would be beneath them. Absent any sort of hard data, how does Dr. Shinagel know his charges are getting a little more dewy and nubile?

“I can tell by the physiognomy, by the color of the hair, by the body types that we’re getting leaner and younger,” Dr. Shinagel said.

Dr. Shinagel is also the first alien to be dean of a major university.
