It’s a bouncy morning

From a snide New Yorker item on the proliferation of the phrase “up-or-down vote” in the debate over judicial confirmation:

“We believe that every judicial nominee deserves an up-or-down vote,” said Karl Rove. Boing, boing. It was like watching a trampoline exhibition.

From Oracle Support, to me:

At 10:30, we need to “bounce the server” which will take the system off-line for a few minutes. Prior to 10:30, please log off and save your work. (for those of you that have access on the “good server”). You can try to access the system again at 10:45 am.

Boing fuckin boing.

The burning question: what do you need to do to gain access to the “good server”?

  2. Marisa Says:

Probably after her superior complies with these guidlines.
