New York Magazine’s long and loving profile of Dowd says, “If Judith Miller represents the bad witch of the New York Times in the public imagination—self-important, suffering, wrong—then Maureen Dowd is Glenda.” Uh, you mean Glinda? Or maybe British actress and member of Parliament Glenda Jackson?
